MLM SPONSORING: 3 CLOSING TIPS

Do you know all you products facts and ingredients? Are you the tech savvy of your company complan? I’m only asking you this because when you enter the MLM sponsoring world, knowing all this stuff won’t bring you any closer to success. And even worst, sometimes it can bring you to failure.

REMEMBER YOU ARE A PROBLEM SOLVER

Be a problem solverIf you want to close more deal in your company, you need to know the needs, wants and/or problems of your prospect. Remember that they aren’t there to buy your products or get involve in your company, but they are here to find a solution to one or many of their pains. This is the only way they will get into it with you! Show them that you or your product are the solution. Yo might heard of this example of the hole and the drill: If you have a hole to do in a wall at home, when you get to the Home Depot, what is the real intention behind what you will buy there? Buy a big shiny 18V hot new kind drill that do 47363445 spin a minute? Or, you are there to buy a something that will produce that one inch hole in the wall so you can put that pipe there? Pretty sure you want to do a hole in a wall instead of showing off with your brand new drill hahaha!

So let’s say that your prospect “problem” is that he don’t make enough money at his job, that he is working 70 hours per week and that even there, he still kinda late on his bills (that guy was me hehe). So after that I talked with “me” for a while, I discovered that pain! Then I showed “me” the video presentation of the product and company. Then here comes the first thing I would tell me: Based on what you have seen so far, do you feel that this might help you to pay those bills and maybe make you work less hours per week? (Just taking the temperature here 😉 ) From that point you will know where to go. Need an example of some scenarios? Sweet let me state some 🙂

Scenario 1: Probably not, I don’t think this can bring me more money!

Let’s start with the worst case. A no as an answer. You all know that it’s probably not true but, well, don’t fall in the defensive emotion with sentences like: “Really? How come you don’t see it?” or “It’s probably just because you don’t really know what you talking about because we already helped thousands of people like you!” Please don’t don that mistake. Remember that we are there to make him see what’s good in it for him and not trying to convince him that we have the best plan for him!

Dig DeeperSo the best way is to DIG… and DIG DEEPER… again and again by asking simple questions, on the nicest and understanding tone of voice like: “Oh really? I see, but would you mind if I ask you what exactly make you feel that it won’t help you to earn more money to pay those bills?” When he will answer, listen carefully every words he will say. Something inside it will give you the next question to ask till you find the real FEAR inside of him. In any MLM sponsoring courses, they will tell you that it’s a inside fear that hold your prospect to see the real value of your offer. Find it, it might be that he heard that MLM was illegal, or that “those things don’t work” or “I heard form the cousin of my best friend’s grand-mother that in the year 1954, she joined one of those pyramid scheme and that she lost 5$ doing it”, (if you get my sarcasm here lol). So the final word of scenario 1 is DIG.

Scenario 2: Yes it might help me to make more money and pay my bills on time! Even better drop my hours per week and have some free time!

If there is a positive answer to your question, make sure to ask them a question about how serious they are to reach their goal. In this case I would ask how serious he is about pay his bills on time. Or, I would ask about, what would it make him feel to pay his bills and work less hours. Something like it. And then I would listen to his answer carefully to make sure that if one day he have a little hard time, I could light his mind back to his goal to help him re-focus on it.

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE

Through my years in this profession, I’ve been through a lot of feelings and one of them was: Being scared to ask “the close” part. I was generally waiting for the prospect to say: “Hey that great! Where do I sign up?” Which happen about once every 100 years. What happen usually looked like this: “Well I will look to all the info, and I will call you back for the answer.” In that case I would generally lose my prospect because it gave him time to talk to all the negative people around him.

So I’ve learned my lesson and I don’t give him any chance to change his mind. When you see that your prospect his ready, that you know his reason, that he saw that your product/opportunity can solve his problem and you hear him say it. Please don’t hesitate and say something like: “Well it’s seems to me that you are ready to join!” That will bring him into the action right away! And remember that we are talking about MLM SPONSORING and not MLM sign up and leave. When we sponsor someone, it’s to give him assistance and help him to succeed. This is a team work guyz, you can’t do this solo by just signing up people and leave them on their own after!

DON’T TALK TOO MUCH – MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO

monkey-see-monkey-doRemember at the beginning of the article I said: …even worst, sometimes it… failure! It’s true. knowing too much and talking too much can make your prospect turn away and leave. Remember that we all have a busy life, some have child and a family to take care of, others have a big career in front of them and don’t really have time for any other things in life. The first question they will ask yourself when they will see your opportunity is: “Am I able to do this?” And if they see you talk for 3 hours in a row about every little things there is in the product and the zillion possibility of income in the complan, they will think: “Wow will I have to know all this to make it work? Sorry no time for that, goodbye!” and they will say something like: “sorry but I think it’s not for me.” Let the tools do the work. Video, webpage, flyers, samples, three way calls, etc… are all what they need to see to make a wise decisions. Maybe you will need more then one but at least, they will feel that they can do the same.
