Hello dear fellows network marketers! Today we gonna talk about a subject that we are, at one point in time, facing, and that we ALL have to go through: FEARS!!! If you never had any, well let me tell you that you are probably on the wrong way. No disrespect here, but overcoming fears in network marketing is a prime key in this profession.
In this world of judgement, ego and fear of displeasing, it can become complicated to do network marketing. The main reason why people fail miserably in it is because of fears. We all know that talking to someone we know about something we like is easy, till the point that money is involve. Then it become hard and most of people can’t do it because they don’t know how to overcome those fears that come through their mind. What he if don’t like me anymore, what if he laugh at me or say that I’m stupid to pursue my dreams? See all this mic mac that runs into our head is simple to overcome. DO IT ANYWAY!!! It’s the only true and real way to succeed and overcome everything in life.
Ok ok ok… I hear you here, saying: Yeah! easier said then done!
So let me give you a few points about it. I could write a millions words in this post about that but for real, do it anyway is the only real way. We can build around that to help you to do it but still, ACTION is what you need to do to reach your dream.
COMFORT ZONE
That is a killer! If you can’t get out of it you will never reach anything in life. You’ve done it before you just never realized that you were doing it. You don’t believe me? Did you once in your life had a girlfriend/boyfriend? Did you kissed him/her for the first time? Were you comfortable? Probably not. That is one of the million times that you have been out of your comfort zone to reach a goal. Again, no money was involve and no big change in your life either because everyone is doing it so why not you.
If I have your permission, I will talk about something special that you might never heard of in your life (or maybe you did). It’s a bit spiritual so if you don’t like those kind of subject, please skip it and read the next title. Ok you still reading? Good! We will talk about ego here, not the ego that everyone talk about, not the “proud” ego still of life of someone. But the ego in your head that is protecting you from changes. This ego is more powerful then anything else in your world. He is here for a good reason and a logical reason. If we didn’t have this ego, we would have to re-learn to walk everyday, to talk, to think, to everything. This ego is a self-defense system that keeps us away from changing. So basically he is the main reason people fail in network marketing. Why? Because relational marketing can change lives, we saw it numerous time through history of this profession. Peoples going from almost homeless to millionaires. Why those peoples succeeded in it and not you? Did you ever notice that most stories about success in network marketing were all starting with: I hit rock bottom, I was desperate, I was about to lose everything, etc etc… Yes when we have our back to the wall and that there is nothing else to do to save our life, we move. We get out of our comfort zone and we do what the hell we need to do to get out if this new discomfort zone, this zone where we can almost die in a way. The question is: can you make it anyway? Even if you are not the back on the wall? Yesssss You CAN! WE ALL CAN!!! Now that you are aware of this “ego” side of you that is there to protect you, you now know why you don’t succeed in it, because it can change your life! It can change how your friends see you, it can make you meet new people that can make you realize that you can follow a new path of life, it can change the whole way your life goes. So are you ready? Really ready?
OVERCOMING FEARS: REJECTION
Most common of all, the fear of rejection, of this little 2 letter word “NO” can strike you at anytime. But if you really think about it, is someone at a point in your life told you no already? Pretty sure that the answer is yes! Are you still alive? If you are reading this I have a good news, you still alive!!!!!! Did you said know to someone in your life that you still like and talk to? Ladies, you still talk to your husband right 😉 hehehe little joke here hehehe sorry for that. Well there is nothing wrong to say or hear “no”. Guys I’m telling you, if you don’t move on about that word you gonna be stuck in everything in life not just network marketing. So solution? Simple, Do it anyway! Move on, accept it with the same degree of a “yes”. Thanks the person for his honesty and to not lose your time and move on. You will find plenty of people to talk too. The more you have “no” as an answer the more you are close to a “yes”. This is an average game… The more people you talk to the more you can score!
ARE YOU AFRAID OF FAILURE?
Those failure only exist? Or is it something that we have been instill into when we were young? When we had some bad grades on a test at school? Failure does not really exist guyz, it’s only experiments that went on the other way of what we were thinking of! I’m pretty sure you heard of all those people that succeed in something or found something like Einstein, Edison or Marie Curie. Those people tried several experiments that didn’t give them what they were looking for before finding THE way to do it! Did they stop? Obviously no because we have electricity, light bulbs, and nuclear stuff in our hospitals. So get your Einstein in you and start experimenting the word “no”!
See, it’s kind of easy when it comes to overcoming fears in this profession. Again the only real way to do it is ACTION ACTION ACTION!!!! Move, you are not sure of what to do? Ask! You don’t know if you should talk to him/her, talk to him. No body have something written on their forehead saying: I’m looking for an opportunity! But a lot of them are, and in the next few years, they will be more and more people looking for it that because of the economy. A lot of people struggles with money these days and you can be that solution for them to move to another level. But remember that nobody will move around you if you don’t. So go do what you do the best and it’s talking, no matter what the answer will be, no matter what the outcome will be, feel free to talk, talk, talk, and spread the news because in network marketing, this is what we are paid for!
